I find it a little bit funny that this second set of patterns I've designed is for a school I didn't even attend. In fact, until married into a family of MSU fans, I never would've thought it possible. Anyway, this set of washcloths is the requested block letter set that spells out MSU on three different cloths. Now, I suppose if you are a fan of the other Big 10 Michigan school, you could knit the "U" and the "M" in blue and gold. Knit, enjoy and GO GREEN!

My idea was to knit these each in a solid color. One a medium green, one a darker green and one white. That's what I'm going to do. The letters show up with alternating knit and purl stitches. Click on the pattern and you'll see what I mean. This would be a nice set to include in a college care package.
The white "M" is done. Working on the lime green "S" and then the dark green "U". Will post photos of the finished samples soon.
Was just working on the "S" cloth this morning and noticed a glaring error in the pattern, so I quickly edited it and posted the revised cloth to Scribd. If you downloaded a copy before today, you will want to print a revised copy of the "S" cloth. The link is the same. Nothing else has changed (for now).
Awesome work! You're one clever woman to create a pattern - and then share it for free! Wish I knew how to knit, as I'm an MSU alum.
Well, Aimee, If you learn how to knit and purl, you can do these patterns. These are all solid color cloths, the designs show up by alternating the knit and purl stitches. I've almost got the second one done. Probably will complete the last one tomorrow during the football game.
All the cloths have been knitted now. Revisions were posted (again) to Scribd this morning for a mistake on the "U" cloth. Photos of the finished cloths will be posted tomorrow (hopefully).
